Some Minor Distractions

I just read this off Ada's blog.
__________________________

It's not the fault of student if he/she fails...
because the year ONLY has 365 days...

typical academic year for a student:

1. Sundays - 52 Sundays in a year, you know Sundays are for rest.
Days left 313.

2. Summer holidays - 50 where weather is very hot and difficult to study.
Days left 263.

3. 8 hours daily sleep - 130 days GONE.
Days left 141.

4. 1 hour for daily playing- (good for health) means 15 days.
Days left 126.

5. 2 hours daily for food & other delicacies (chewing properly & swallowing) - means 30 days.
Days left 96.

6. 1 hour for talking (man is a social animal) - means 15 days.
Days left 81.

7. Exam days - per year at least 35 days.
Days left 46.

8. Quarterly, half yearly and festival (holidays) - 40 days.
Days left 6.

9. For sickness - at least 3 days.
Days left 3.

10. Movies and functions- at least 2 days.
1 day left.

11. That 1 day is your birthday.
How can you study on that day ?!?!?!?!?!

Balance = 0
How can a student pass ?????

Edit (after Gavin's comment)

actually after your comment i do agree, that this 'note' has some flaws. like some conditions intersect. like....for about 1) and 3) like Sunday Sleep. or even 2) and 3) like Summer Sleep. x) & 3) other ocassions & sleep. Hence the figure for sleeping is too much.
--------------------------
error calcualtions
take for instance 1 & 3: 52*8= +17.333 days
take for instance 2 & 1 & 3: 50/7*8= -2.38 days
take for instance 2 & 3: 50*8= +16.667 days
how 1 & 4 intersects as well= 1*52= +2.1667 days
.
.
.
---------------------------
ok for simplicity sake. we will combine 3) 4) 5) 6) conditions together. and making it condition x) which takes 12 hours daily.

take for instance 1 & x:
52*12= +26 days

take for instance 2 & 1 & x:
-assuming that 50 hot days lie consectutively
50/7*12= -3.5714 days

take for instance 2 & x:
50*12= +25 days

case 7:
assuming that exam days (means that it occours in a block of consectutive days & that some exam days can be HOT days [simple probability = 50/365)

take for instance 7 & 1 & x &~2:
~
take for instance 7 & 2 & 1 & x:
~
take for instance 7 & 2 & ~1 & x:
~

case 8:
holidays can intersect with sundays (1/7) and hotdays (50/365) and birthday (1/365) and sick (3/365) and movie dates (2/365)

one can also assume women's incredible skills of multitasking (IE chat & excercise) and a guy's fantastic skill of sleeptalking. this would vary the numbers a bit.

i am willing to give 10 AUD to the dude that figure this thing out.
